About Dr. Meadows

A practice built on presence

Vale Therapy is the solo practice of Dr. Holly Meadows, a licensed clinical psychologist who helps adults and couples navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship strain, and major life transitions.

Dr. Meadows founded Vale around a simple conviction: healing begins when someone truly sees you — not only a diagnosis or a set of symptoms, but the whole person underneath. Her approach brings together attachment-focused therapy, somatic experiencing, EMDR, mindfulness, and Gottman Method work. Sessions are warm, direct, and collaborative, with care shaped around each client's history, pace, and goals.

She chose the name Vale because a valley is a sheltered place — protected, fertile, and full of quiet life. That sense of shelter reflects the steady, attentive space Dr. Meadows works to offer every client.

  • Clinical psychologist (PsyD), licensed in Colorado

  • Trained in EMDR, somatic experiencing and the Gottman Method, each through its own training body

Client stories

Words from clients

“Dr. Meadows never rushed me. I could stop in the middle of a sentence and she would simply wait. I felt I had all the time I needed.”

Gayle P.

“I was nervous about video, and the steps she sent were short and clear. By the second visit I had stopped noticing the screen.”

Leroy B.

“The office is quiet and the chair is comfortable. She asks before she suggests anything, and she explains what she is doing.”

Fay D.

“I like knowing what a visit will cost before I come. Nobody made me feel awkward for asking.”

Alan R.

“She listens first. Nothing felt like a checklist, and I never felt my questions were silly.”

Inez V.

“The forms came in large print, and when my connection dropped she called me. Small things, and they made it easy to keep coming.”

How It Works

Your path forward

Every journey begins with a single step. Here's what to expect when you reach out.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Reach out

Send a message or call. Tell us when you are free and how you like to be reached; there is nothing else to fill in.

A notebook and pen beside a cup of coffee and an apple on a round wooden tray
  2. 02

    Step 2: We write back

Within one business day we reply with open times, the fee for a first visit in writing, and any questions about how visits work.

A leather notebook and pencil beside a cup of coffee and a cream flower on a linen cloth
  3. 03

    Step 3: First session

We begin where you are. No rush to tell your whole story, just a warm, curious conversation about what matters to you right now.

A blank spiral notebook and pen beside a latte and a potted plant on a wooden desk
  4. 04

Step 4: Settling into a rhythm

Together we choose how often to meet. Your clinician sets the pace with you and checks in on how the work is going.

Common Questions

What you might be wondering

Plain answers to the questions we hear most often.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you are asking, something in you may be ready for support. You do not need to be in crisis; therapy is for anyone who wants to understand themselves better or find their footing in a hard season. Write to us with a question and Dr. Meadows will tell you honestly whether Vale looks like a fit.

What does a first session look like?

Your first session is about connection. Dr. Meadows explains how privacy works, asks what you would like from the work, and listens. You do not have to say everything at once.

How do fees and insurance work?

We bill Medicare Part B and some health plans directly; for other plans we can give you a monthly receipt (a superbill) that your plan may reimburse. If you pay yourself, you get a Good Faith Estimate in writing before your first visit. The page on how fees work has the details.
